Awash in Change

My tears scare the kids.
Blame red eyes on shampoo.
Showers -- my haven.

  2. I feel a fear not wanted to be shared with the kids. This was deep and got my heartfelt response. Good haiku

  4. Oh my goodness - I certainly use showers as a refuge for the worst of times. Very well written.

  5. Ah yes. So, so true. Or contacts! Contacts is a good one...

  6. This is heartbreaking. Needing to cry is bad; having to explain to your kids why can sometimes be worse. In that sense, a shower is definitely a best friend.
We hope everything is okay. Thank you for linking up.

  8. Oh, can I relate. Wish you didn't have to have that pain dear friend of mine! Love you! I just know this Thursday at MOPS (our first meeting of the year) will feel a bit empty without your smile and presence. Know that you are missed by me.

  9. Forgot to say, sometimes instead of a shower it is outside in the cool morning air with coffee and tissues hoping the neighbors don't hear me. Wink.
